Healthy Lifestyle

You have made the decision to live a healthy lifestyle and are eating healthy foods and making healthy choices, but you have no motivation to exercise. Or maybe you do not have the time. Here are some steps you can take to motivate yourself to exercise or squeezing it in to your daily routine.

  1. If you have an option to take the stairs, take them. Anytime you can burn calories and use your body for movement do it. Park in the furthest parking spot so you can get some extra exercise walking to the building.
  2. If it is not to embarrassing for you, each time you go to sit down do a few squats.
  3. If you are cleaning your house, instead of walking to each room to put away laundry or doing your dusting, do lunges into each room.
  4. March in place for a few minutes at a time, several times a day.
  5. While reading or cooking reach down and touch you toes for a few minutes. Incorporate stretching into daily activities.
  6. Get a partner that will exercise with you. Motivate each other.
  7. Set realistic goals. Most people do not start out running a marathon, they work there way up to it. Start by setting small goals to exercise for 10 minutes a day and work your way up. Do not overdo it your first time in. Many people get sore from doing a strenuous workout at the beginning and then they are unmotivated to exercise again.
  8. Turn up the music and dance.

As you do these easy fit into your daily routine steps along with your healthy lifestyle changes you will start to lose weight and that progress may motivate you more to do exercise.
